Kiki Vermeulen

Meet La Qui Qui aka Kiki

There are people who see hair.
And then there are people like Kiki, who see possibility.

“ A beautiful treatment always starts with sincere attention. When someone is in my chair for the first time, I like to take the time to really get to know them. I listen carefully to someone’s wishes, look at who someone is and think about what fits best. The best thing about my profession is not only the hair, but the feeling someone gets when they see themselves radiant in the mirror again. That someone feels more beautiful, more confident and above all completely themselves. “

Kiki touched her scissors and hair for the first time in 2000. Scattering her talent at these high-end salons in the greater area of Noord Holland;

Haar in de Wind in Amsterdam | KINKI kappers | De Hoofdzaak in Hoorn.

After that she had her own House of Color in Haarlem for a few years, as she preferred being a freelancer she continued her journey at Forty Seven in Noordwijk.

That passion eventually grew beyond the salon and went backstage at the Amsterdam Fashion Week, Fashion shoots and Award nominations.

She became an educator for Schwarzkopf Professional, joining the Creative Color Team, because sharing knowledge multiplies it. Teaching isn’t about proving expertise, it is about igniting curiosity in someone else.
Showing another stylist that rules could be understood before they were broken.

As a salon is her playground she resides back to her hometown Haarlem at Bohimea Artist House. A place that feels like home. What she loves about Bohimea is that it’s not just about beautiful hair, but also about the way it happens. The choice of vegan and cruelty free products is completely in line with her own values. She believes it is important to make people beautiful in a responsible way, without compromising on quality or experience.

So when someone sits in Kiki’s chair, they might think they’re booking a color appointment.
What they’re really booking is time with someone who understands that transformation isn’t measured by the shade on the swatch.
It’s measured by the smile in the mirror when they whisper,
“That’s me.”
